A Boy that keeps the Metro clean- Story
No work is too small when you have to earn for your family. I have no shame whatsoever in doing this job because it brings the money that puts food on the table. I keep the Metro clean and love my job even though I earn the minimum wage of Rs. 14,000. Earning this money by working hard is way better than being a beggar and earning more than this. It allows me to sleep peacefully every night. I used to go to school but unfortunately ended up with bad friends and started wasting my time with them. But then I realized it was not going to do me any good so a friend of mine got me this job at Metro. I am a Christian but I want to clarify any assumptions that I am not doing this job because I am from a minority group. Being a Christian has never gotten me into any trouble. Nobody has ever said to me that you have to work more because you are a Christian and nobody should ever do so because we are first humans and then we are divided by religions. Be it a Christian or a Hindu or a Muslim, they should all be treated as a human and not based on what religion they practice. My wish is to see a prosperous Pakistan. A Pakistan where everyone is equal. A Pakistan where everybody is safe no matter to which religion or community they belong. A Pakistan where everyone is respected. A Pakistan where there is no hatred for anyone. I am a proud cleaner at Metro and above all a proud Pakistani.
